High Barrier Nonwovens for Hygiene

Tuesday, November 7, 2017 - 11:25

High barrier materials achieve liquid transmission blockage but many times with a disadvantage of high basis weight or softness. The materials are becoming significant to allow for low pulp content core design trends, but overall comfort and cost considerations are of high importance as well. We will define what barrier means in material function and how to characterize, and present approaches to creating barrier constructions.
